The Brain Matters

The site, a resource from the American Academy of Neurology Foundation, aims to help individuals better understand common disorders of the brain, as well as learn about people living with the disorders. The information was prepared by neurologists-doctors with specialized training in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the brain and nervous system.

Virtual Hospitals: Head and Brain Injuries

    Extensive compilation of FAQs related to adult and pediatric brain injury issues, including coma. Spanish translation is provided, as well.

National Database of Educational Resources on Traumatic Brain Injury

TBICS is a learning, collaboration, and benchmarking tool for the Grantees and others affiliated with the Federal Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program. TBICS captures successful TBI systems change strategies and makes them available in a dynamic and meaningful way.
 

Lash Publishing

    L&A Publishing/Training, founded by a team of nationally known experts, focuses primarily on the neurological, psychological, communicative, psychosocial and educational impact of brain injuries among children, youth and young adults. This publisher provides practical, informative, and affordable materials for families, survivors, health care professionals, rehabilitation specialists, educators and community staff.

BrainLine.org

    BrainLine.org is funded through the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center and is part of WETA, the PBS affiliate out of Washington, DC. The site is geared towards preventing, treating and living with traumatic brain injury.

Health Helper

    Site supported by a health psychologist who sustained both an acquired and a traumatic brain injury.

    A tutorial designed to teach various parts of the brain and their functions.

Family Village

    Services include disability information library, family support connections, links to health care agencies and resources, assistive technology vendors, community integration, recreational resources, accessibility information.

National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials

    Info on publications, videos and other rehabilitation training materials; downloadable documents; links to other rehabilitation information sources.
